A Coast-To-Coast Cannonball Run

On July 26th 2016, we parked the BMW in front of the Portofino gate in Redondo Beach, CA. For decades, the Portofino has been the destination for various Cannonball Runs across the country. It was here that we wanted to start our drive across the country; Our only stops would be for gas and quick bathroom breaks. We left the Portofino on July 26th 2016 at 01:29:26pm PDT and during the next 38 hours, 44 minutes and 41 seconds drove through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee and North Carolina. On July 28th 2016 we arrived, having stayed on I-40 all the way from Barstow, CA to our final destination: Wilmington, NC.
